akazukinotokoOnce upon a time, Red was a soldier in a "certain country", serving as the king's personal guard. When the Ahe Princess (Cinderella) was to be executed for not loving the King, whom she was to marry. When Cinderella's Knight went to save her, Red was one of the soldiers that kept the knight back.
Sometime after that, he gets wounded over the eye, and cursed to turn into a werewolf every time the fullmoon rises. He's also sealed by the Brother's Grimm, as they collect his "tale", which they twist to their liking. He thus becomes a Märchen (Fairy Tale) Demon.
200 years later, he escapes the pages of the book him and the others were sealed in, after Otogi Grimm unwittingly breaks the seals.
Sometime after that, he joins up with Snow White, and he has to pick up the poisonous demon after Snow White is almost sealed again by Otogi. After that, Snow leaves, and Red joins up with Puss in Boots and his group Jäger, after Puss tells him that he can break his curse if he gets him Otogi's heart, since the Brother's Grimm had promised to give their descendants' sould to the demons.
So, when Otogi is on a school trip to the beach, Red finds Otogi, Cinderella's Knight (now Cinderella) and Yuma, one of Otogi's friends in a forest, and since the forest is his territory, it is endless. He hunts Otogi and Yuma, and Otogi summons Snow White to fight off Red. It doesn't go all too well though, least of all when the fullmoon comes out, and Red goes wolf. He's pulled from Snow White by Yuma, and made to fall from a cliff. During thet fall, Otogi seals half his powers and also his curse, so when Red comes to, he decides to follow Otogi, since he has no reason to hunt him any more.
He comes to live at Otogi's house, and participate in the discussion about how they're going to find Otogi's father to help them solve the deal with the Märchen Demons. Turns out his father lives and works at the Gottingen University, and he, together with the demons, are made to house-sit while Otogi and his human friends goes to the university. During Otogi's absence, Red confronts Cinderella about the previous Cinderella, but gets little out of him. Then Otogi and the other humans returns home, with Otogi's father in tow.
However, Otogi's father turns out to be one of the Brother's Grimm; the elder of the two, Jacob Ludwig Carl Grimm. The other brother, Wilhelm Carl Grimm, also appears, and Wilhelm casts a curse on Otogi, to make Cinderella come with him. This, Red and Snow get to hear after it happened, and Red tells the others about Cinderella's background.
When Otogi awakes, they all head to fetch Cinderella, and Red and Snow team up against Hansel and Gretel, and the two beat the siblings. They then reunite with Otogi and Cinderella, and are able to go back home.
